York Viking Festival - 26th Feb 2011
Regia Anglorum are a Saxon / Viking
reenactment society from around the UK.
These photos are from the Viking Festival in York in February
2011. The photos
are in three parts; a battle practice at Yorkshire Museum, a walk
through York city
centre and a night battle at York Racecourse. The highlight for
Gareth was being
one of eight archers trying to set a Viking longship alight with
fire arrows.
Photos of Exeter in two parts, part A are
photos of Killerton ( a National Trust
property a few miles north of Exter) and part B of the area
around Exeter Quayside.

Sunflower maze at Wisley (only 1 picture) - August 1st 2010
Henley on Thames - May 3rd 2010
We visited the excellent River and Rowing
Museum at Henley, we then walked
along the riverbank to Henley Bridge, avoiding the spring
showers. We then
went to Greys Court just outside Henley. This has a beautiful
bluebell wood.

Saville Gardens - April 5th 2010
The cold winter has held back a
lot of the spring flowers compared to what we
have been used to over the last few years milder winters. As the
temperature
gets warmer at night the daffodiles overlap with the magnolia in
full bloom.
This set of pictures are from Saville Gardens in the Royal
Landscape at
Windsor Great Park.
